Christmas

Christmas 2010 was a great day! Our family spent Christmas eve cleaning our house, and then had a family from our church over. We played a serious game of Pictionary tag team style - it was a blast but we found out how competitive some people are!! The final score was Girls:4, Boys:1. :) after they left, we had our family Christmas devotions. We all sat down and then got quiet and my Dad goes, "now for the Christmas story. tWas the night before Christmas" we all laughed and then has real devotions. :)

Christmas morning came and I was able to stay in bEd all the way until 8! Usually my siblings dome jump on me. One cinnamon role later, I was no longer bleary eyed and ready for the day! We opened gifts and it was really sweet to see how much thought people put into their gifts and especially watching my sisters faces as the person opened the gift from them. Holly would just get sooo excited she would just jump up and down and squeal. :)

My parents made crepes and we had a brunch together. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon helping each other with our new gifts (Actually I mostly just stole Haydens sports illustrated and read it :D) My Mom made this really yummy dinner and my sister Holly wanted us all to dress up for it. :) Ww had this really awesome dessert with rasperries and cream and cake stuff so good!!

I am really, really blessed with an amazing family... My brother and I are leaving early in the morning for another Christmas with our other family. :) the highlights of this Christmas were Holly naming her stuffed animal "Coach Pete", Hope asking if the laser pen she got would melt stuff, and the many smiles. I have to say that I got a pair of BSU basketball shorts that are really cool and Mercy will be pleased to know that I got my very own vanilla chai latte mix :D

I hope and pray that we remember the true gift of Christ and remember it always... Not just at Christmastime!
