The Silence

There is something about the world after a day or two of rain; clean, fresh, still. Sitting in the quiet with the damp, cool breeze has kind of a refreshing way about it. Thankful for the peace that passes all understanding and the way the rain seems to remind me of that.

Psalm 62:5
"For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him."

The full moon was this week. Few things display the splendor of His handiwork as much as the night sky. I just love the stars and the moon and the general peace when the world goes to sleep. What an amazing reminder that He created it all and cares enough to share it with us.

"Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers -- the moon and the stars you set in place --
what are mere mortals that you should think about them  human beings that you should care for them? "
Psalm 8:1-4
