Best Cornbread Recipe


1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/3 cup cane juice crystals
1 tsp. salt
1 T baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup canola oil

Mix together whole wheat flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add egg, milk and oil.  Mix together until combined.  Scoop into greased muffin cups or greased 8 x 8 bake dish.  Muffins bake for 20 minutes.  Bake the 8 x 8 pan for 35-40 minutes. (Adapted from Happy Housewife's recipe)
